Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM) + Glucosamine Sulphate Inquire now

Product Description
Methyl- Sulfonyl- Methane, or MSM, is a natural occurring form of sulfur, which is present in
body tissues, and fluids of all living beings. It is necessary for normal body maintenance.

This substances is one of the four most abundant minerals in the human body. The other three
most abundant minerals are magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium.

MSM is also found in enzyme rich foods. Enzyme rich foods are those that are live, and raw.
Such foods are raw fruits, vegetables, especially from the Cruciferous family. Members of the
Cruciferous family include broccoli, cabbage, and Brussel’s sprouts. In addition, foods from the
Allium family, such as garlic and onion, are essential. Other foods rich in MSM are raw nuts,
seeds, peppers, and asparagus. Studies show that the most rich MSM food substance is
unpasteurized, raw milk.

MSM increases the utilization of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and antioxidants.

MSM is destroyed in the cooking process, as it is extremely water soluble and is evaporated
quickly. MSM is also destroyed during storage. Due to our country’s diet being one of processed
foods, and over cooked foods, supplementing MSM (sulfur) in one’s diet may be a consideration.
This continues to be a serious concern to health and healing. One needs a diet rich in live foods,
as these type foods are best for maintaining a well nourished body. Foods that are over
processed and overcook, as that type of diet is taxing on the body.

MSM has been found to act on nerve impulses by stopping pain before in reaches the brain.
Research also indicates that MSM is effective in relieving joint and muscle pain. In addition, the
MSM stimulates the immune system, as the sulfur component produces the antibodies called
immunoglobins.

Individuals that suffer from Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can benefit
from the natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of MSM. In addition, according to
scientific research, there is a pronounced decrease in tumor growth, in those suffering from these
type diseases. MSM increases the speed of healing wounds, and sores.

The sulfur component in MSM, is necessary in forming the protein Collagen, which is
responsible in maintaining healthy and flexible skin, joints, and connective tissues in the
underlying skin. In addition, MSM will often encourage the repair of damaged skin,, and make it
smoother, and more pliable. The improved health of the skin indicates that the MSM is essential
of the formation and maintenance of keratin, which also is beneficial in healthy hair, and nail
health and growth.

Besides ingesting MSM by eating various types of raw foods, MSM may be taken in capsule and
granular form. These substances may be purchased in health food type stores. MSM is also
available in lotion and cream forms, the absorption is immediate.

Educating oneself is insurance for health at its best. Each one of us can read and research. As we
embark on the twenty first millennium, there is no time quite like the present to begin caring for
ourselves. As we learn of diseases that are not effected by today’s medications, it is time to sit
up and take note. It is time that we build back our immune systems, by following a natural health
and eating regime. Our forefather’s were not plagued by the diseases that are of the norm today.
In reconsidering, and thinking back, our ancestors worked the soil, and partook of the live foods
because that was what they had. Bleached and over processed foods were unknown, as were the
diseases that are now part of our lives. There may come a time, real soon, when we will regret not listening to what our body’s were trying to tell us.

Product Feature
GLUCOSAMINE + MSM

INTRODUCTION :

Pain, swelling, stiffness and deformation of one or more joints characterize all forms of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis representing a major cause of morbidity and disability in the elderly. It results from progressive catabolic loss of cartilage proteoglycans owing to an imbalance between synthesis and degradation. A normal cartilage consists of chonrocytes which synthesize and deposit around themselves a matricx consisting of collagen and proteoglycans. In osteoarthritis there is selective decrease in the biosynthesis of this matrix.

Glucosamine
It is a component of the mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins which are intergral parts of cell membranes. It is a major building block of proteoglycans and stimulates the synthesis of synovial fluid and cartilage matrix. Glucosamine in the form of Glucosamine Sulphate regenerates cartilage and exhibits anti-inflammatory effects.

Mechanism of action : Glucosamine sulphate’s role in halting or reversing joint degeneration is due to its ability to act as an essential substrate for and to stinulate the biosynthesisi of the glycosaminoglycans and the hyaluronic acid backbone needed for the formulation of the proteoglycans. A recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine advocates Higher Strength, Glucosamine supplementation (2000mg/day, initially for a period of 12 weeks) as significant pain relief & improved functioning was observed in the research subjects suffering from knee pain caused by osteoarthritis and/or cartilage injury.

MSM (Methyl Sulphonyl Methane)
MSM also known as dimethyl sulphone is a natural bioavailable source of organic sulphur. Sulphur is an element found in all living organisms and is the fourth larget mineral found in the human body. Sulphur is necessary for the formation of connective tissues, primarily collagen. Scientists around the world investigating the relationship between MSM and arthritis have shown that sulphur concentration in arthritic cartilage is only about one-third the level compared to normal tissue. In addition, the level of cystine, one sulphur-containing amino acids, in arthritic individuals is usually much lower than normal.

Mechanism of action :
As a component of mucopolysaccharides such as dermatan sulphate and hyaluronic acid, the sulphur in MSM contributes to the production of ground substance which keeps connective tissue intact. MSM enchances the structural intergrity of these mucopolysaccharides found in high concentration in connective tissue, including joint cartilage.

Combination of Glucosamine and MSM
These two molecules when combined show synergistic effect on articular cartilage they :
1) Increase cartilage cell macromolecule synthesisi (glycosaminoglycans, proteoglycan collagens, proteins)

2) Inhabit superoxide radical generation for faster recovery.

3) Help from collagen the building blocks of cartilage.

4) Stabilize connective tissue matrix of cartilage and reduce inflammation.

Indications
Osteoarthritis, joint injuries and cartilage injuries.

Adverse effect
No detrimental side effects of MSM have been reported in the short-term as well as long-term studies. Adverse effects of glucosamine include mild gastrointestinal upsets, drowsiness, skin reactions and headache.
